برطانوی بینک ٹی ایس بی کے مطابق 2022 میں پیار کے دھوکے کے نتیجے میں ضائع ہونے والی رقم کا تقریبا نصف حصہ 51 سے 65 سال کی عمر کے لوگوں کا تھا۔
فریب دینے والے ڈیٹنگ ویب سائٹس اور سوشل میڈیا پر جعلی پروفائلز بناتے اور نقد رقم مانگنے سے پہلے تعلق بنانے کے خواہش مندوں کے ساتھ اعتماد پیدا کرنے میں وقت گراتے ہیں۔
ٹی ایس بی کی جانب سے ان کے صارفین کے تجزیے سے معلوم ہوا کہ کسی رومانوی دھوکہ باز کو ان کے متاثرہ شخص کی جانب سے کی جانے والی پہلی اور آخری ادائیگی کے درمیان اوسط وقت 53 دن ہے۔
پیار کے دھوکوں میں وقت کے ساتھ ساتھ متعدد ادائیگیاں عام ہیں۔
ٹی ایس بی کو رپورٹ کیے گئے۔ رومانوی دھوکہ دہی کے واقعات کی تعداد کے لحاظ سے۔ 18 سے 35 اور 36 سے 50 سال کی عمر کے افراد تقریبا چھبیس چھبیس فیصد۔ 51۔65 سال کی عمر کے افراد 25 فیصد اور 65 سال سے زائد عمر کے افراد 22 فیصد تھے۔ فیصد کے اعداد و شمار محتاط اندازے سے لکھے گئے ہیں۔
تاہم بینک کو پتا چلا کہ 51 سے 65 سال کی عمر کے افراد نے اپنے ’تعلقات‘ پر مجموعی طور پر سب سے زیادہ رقم خرچ کی، جس کا مطلب ہے۔ کہ پیار کے دھوکے کی وجہ سے ہونے والے مالی نقصانات کا 46 فیصد حصہ اس عمر کے گروپ کا تھا۔
رومانوی دھوکہ
سال 2022 میں ٹی ایس بی نے جتنے بھی۔ کیسز کا تجزیہ کیا ان تمام رومانوی دھوکہ دہی کے معاملوں میں، ہر پانچ میں سے تین (60 فیصد) میں دھوکے بازوں نے بل یا روزمرہ زندگی کے اخراجات کے بہانے سے مالی مدد مانگی۔
کچھ لوگوں کے پاس طبی مدد، گھرکی بہتری یا کار مرمت کی ضرورت کے بارے میں مخصوص کہانیاں تھیں، جبکہ دیگر نے وقتی طور پر مدد کے لیے پیسے مانگے تھے۔
ہر چھ میں سے ایک (21 فیصد) نے دعویٰ کیا کہ وہ بیرون ملک پھنسے ہوئے ہیں اور انہیں گھر واپس جانے کے لیے مدد کی ضرورت ہے۔
بینک نے کو پتا چلا کہ تیل نکالنے والے کنویں پر کام کرنے کا دعویٰ بھی اکثر استعمال ہونے والی چال تھی۔
تقریبا 10 میں سے ایک (آٹھ فیصد) کیسز میں دھوکے بازوں نے اپنے شکار کے پاس پہنچنے کے لیے۔ اسی سے سفر کا خرچہ مانگا، لیکن اس سفر پر وہ کبھی نہیں گئے۔
چار فیصد کیسز میں دھوکہ بازوں نے اپنے شکار کو بلیک میل کر کے رقم وصول کی۔ متاثرین کا اپنی نازیبا تصاویر یا ذاتی معلومات دھوکے ۔بازوں کو دینا اس کی ایک مثال ہو سکتی ہے۔
ٹی ایس بی آن لائن تعلقات میں پیسے مانگنے کی باتیں شروع ہو جانے۔ کی صورت میں فوری طور پر کسی دوست۔ یا خاندان کے فرد سے مشورہ کرنے کی ہدایت کرتا ہے۔
بينک کا کردار
بینک نے ذاتی اور حساس معلومات کسی کو نہ دینے کی اہمیت پر بھی زور دیا۔
ان کا کہنا ہے کہ جو بھی دھوکے انہوں نے دیکھے۔ ان میں رومانوی دھوکے چار فیصد ہیں۔ اور یہ سب سے زیادہ جذباتی نقصانات ہیں جو ٹی ایس بی ری فنڈ کرتا ہے۔
